Major upgrade for the FRITZ!Box 7270

A major upgrade for the FRITZ!Box 7270 free of charge is available immediately from AVM. The new firmware contains a wealth of new features in the areas of WLAN, IPv6 and telephony.

Overview of new features:

In the WLAN area the user will find the new guest access, expanded night service, and spectrum analysis to prevent interference by baby monitors and video bridges.

The new user interface presents all kinds of information about the Internet, home network and telephony, and links up to individual settings quickly and intuitively.

There are also exciting new features in telephony: With the FRITZ!Fon MT-F users can save a photo of their own for each entry in the telephone book.

Users of the FRITZ!App for Android also benefit from the new possibilities like access to the FRITZ!Box call list and telephone book from a smartphone.

For IPv6 technology AVM is a pioneer: With this update FRITZ!Box already supports native IPv6 ports.

Simple download: Just enter “fritz.box” in your browser

The direct route to the new functions is the automatic update search over the FRITZ!Box user interface. Just type “fritz.box” in your browser window and go to “Settings” and “System” to search for new firmware. Then click “Start Firmware Update”. The new functions are available immediately for downloading.
