Free updates for new functions

Part of AVM’s corporate philosophy is to continue developing our existing products and keep them constantly in step with the latest technology. At the company’s headquarters in Berlin, a large team of employees is exclusively dedicated to developing and testing new functions for the FRITZ!Box, finally releasing them in the form of firmware updates.

This means that as the user of a FRITZ!Box, you own a product that never stops evolving. Because even after purchase, you continue to benefit from new features thanks to free updates.

Important upgrade for FRITZ!Box 7390 and 7270

The upgrade for the popular FRITZ!Box models 7390 and 7270 is available for download. The new firmware offers the following new functions:

Improved child protection enables you to selectively block specific websites or the ports of Internet applications. Furthermore, it allows you to limit Internet access to selected websites only (whitelist). The child protection functionality also covers any connected game consoles and smartphones.

The FRITZ!Box can now additionally be used as a DECT repeater, thereby increasing the range of your DECT telephones.

With the current summer upgrade, the menu of a FRITZ!Fon connected to the FRITZ!Box can now be displayed in French, Italian and Spanish as well as English and German.

Moving from one FRITZ!Box model to another just became even easier because the FRITZ!Box automatically compiles all the settings required for the transfer – such as Internet access data.
